Play for Peace! New initiative from AJJBWF, IATWS and UNESCO based on our special concept BEST (B - for Business, E - for Education, S – for Sport, T- for Telecommunication) which will become the leader of the world’s sport movement. All our activities on the continental and world level in 2007 included four components: sport (world /continental championships), cultural (worldwide demonstration of traditional sports and games focused on wrestling and organizing the competitions according to the hosting country’s rules), scientific (conference/round table on developing and promoting TSG –Traditional Sports and Games) and environmental (tree planting actions by all participants). From 2008 the 5th component will be included – promotion of peace through sports under the slogan “Play for Peace” – training camps between teams from war/border conflict countries. On the end of 2007 an anti doping code was adopted. From world championships 2008, for the first time, anti doping tests will be taken. We invite all other international federations/associations to join us in this initiative in hope for a new improved world. |
